Need For Speed All Versions

Here i am completed NFS images.hope you love it.This was the game that started it all. With more than 100,000,000 copies sold worldwide, Need for Speed is the world's most popular racing series. Road and Track Presents: The Need for Speed, which was released in 1994 on the fledgling 3DO console, was the first truly 3D racing game.

Need For Speed

Police chases, full-motion videos introducing each car, as well as traffic trying to make you wreck your dream machine pushed this game ahead of its competition. It had an impressive number of tracks for its day (seven), and a distinguished car list which included such supercars as the Lamborghini Diablo, Chevrolet Corvette ZR-1, and Ferrari 512TR.
A range of camera views were available, including a groundbreaking "in-car" view, giving the player more of a connection with their vehicle, rather than just the "chase cam" view present in most racing games of the day.
Staff at Road and Track magazine worked with the Need for Speed team for countless hours to get the handling and performance of the cars as close to spot-on as possible, making this a one-of-a-kind title.

Release Date: 1994-08
Platform: 3DO, PC, PlayStation, Sega Saturn, Rating, K-A.

Cars

Separated into three classes, the cars in The Need for Speed included some of the supercars of the day, such as the Lamborghini Diablo and Ferrari 512, but every car featured in the game had outstanding performance on the road and track. There was also a hidden car that could only be accessed through a cheat code, called the Warrior PTO E/2, a purple-and-teal machine that had acceleration and handling beyond any other cars in the game.

2. Need For Speed 2

Fans of the Need for Speed series would have to wait until 1997 for the next game and by then, things had changed slightly. The new game was simply called Need for Speed II, with "Road and Track" being dropped. That wasn't the only change - gone were the police chases and simulation-style handling of the first game, replaced with more accessible, arcade-style gameplay.

A feature of Need for Speed II that made it ahead of its time was interactive music which reacted to how the player was driving. If you crashed, for example, you'd hear different music than if you were leading the pack.

One thing that remained the same was the ability to enter cheat codes to get special cars otherwise not available in the game. These unlockable vehicles included a school bus, a Volkswagen Beetle, and an old Wild West-style wagon.

That same year, a Special Edition of Need for Speed II was released for the PC, adding support for 3D accelerator cards, as well as one new track, four new cars, and three additional hidden vehicles.

Release Date: 1997-03
Platform: PC, PlayStation,

Need for Speed II ratcheted up the caliber of its vehicles, moving focus to supercars. They included the McLaren F1 (which at the time was the fastest car on the planet), the Isdera Commendatore 112i, and the Italdesign Cala (a concept car designed for Lamborghini that never made it into production).

3. Need For Speed Hot Pursuit

The cops were back in Need for Speed III: Hot Pursuit, and they were looking to make up for lost time. Unlike the police in The Need for Speed, these guys had a few tricks up their sleeve to keep peace. Spike belts, roadblocks, and more-aggressive artificial intelligence made getting by the cops in Hot Pursuit more difficult. They also had more powerful cars, including a turbocharged Eagle Talon coupe and Lamborghini LM002 SUV. One other cool thing about the chases in Hot Pursuit was the cops getting on the bullhorn during a chase, encouraging you to pull over.

Hot Pursuit was the first Need for Speed game to go completely 3D in every scene, as previous games were complemented by video. Graphics improved significantly as well, setting a benchmark for future titles. Multiplayer options were available for the first time in the Need for Speed universe, beginning a long-standing party tradition of trying to out-maneuver your friends on the track.

Release Date: 1998-03

Platform: PC, PlayStation,

Cars

The supercar theme continued in Hot Pursuit, with ten to choose from, including a Ferrari 355 Maranello, Aston Martin DB7 and Mercedes-Benz SL600. There were also two bonus vehicles, with the most interesting being the El Ni o, a curvy two-door coupe that went like the wind but handled like a shopping cart.

4. Need For Speed High Stakes

Roman numerals were dropped for this fourth title in the franchise - Need for Speed: High Stakes - but the same racing experience was intact, with a cool new wrinkle. The ability to race for "pinks" was added, truly making the title live up to its name. In the new mode, if you lost to your opponent, they got your car, turning the pressure up past a boiling point.

Much like real life, the element of punishment for a nasty car crash was a prominent part of High Stakes. If you plowed your supercar into a wall, an in-game currency system - money you earned during your races - would determine whether you had enough to fix it. Upgrades were also available (at a cost) for the first time ever, so you could tune your dream car to try and attain maximum output.

Running from the cops was more difficult in High Stakes, as a police chopper was introduced, along with country-specific police chatter to keep the boys (and girls) in blue aware of your whereabouts on the track. And speaking of cops, two police pursuit modes - Time Trap and Getaway - appeared for the first time.

Release Date: 1999-03
Platform: PC,PlayStation,

Cars

At the time of its release, High Stakes had the most impressive car list of any Need for Speed title. With 25 vehicles available, and each having its own unique damage models, this was one cool game. 5. Need For Speed Porsche Unleashed

The first, and to date, only, Need for Speed game to feature the vehicles of one manufacturer - and we picked a good one - Porsche Unleashed featured models from the German performance automaker from 1950 to 2000. This game brought a true simulation driving engine to the series that hadn't been seen to that point in a racing title.

From the original Porsche 356 to the 911 GT3, the cars drove and handled closer to their real-life counterparts in Porsche Unleashed than any of its predecessors. Even the car James Dean once owned (the 550 Spyder) was in the game.

The Evolution mode, which allowed racers to buy and unlock Porsche cars from 1950 on in chronological order, was also a genre first and brought many new fans to both Porsche and the Need for Speed franchise. Police chases - which were popular early in the series - remained, but were only available in the Factory Driver mode.

Release Date: 2000-03
Platform: Game Boy Advance, PC, PlayStation,

6. Need For Speed Hot Pursuit 2

It was back to basics for the sixth Need for Speed title. The game was divided into two types of gameplay - World Racing and Hot Pursuit. World Race included three different race types that were slightly different from one another; whereas Hot Pursuit brought back the arcade-style racing that NFS fans fell in love with many years before.

Chases were once again a focal point of gameplay, but for the first time ever, players were given the chance to "be the cop" without entering a code. In this mode, players had a "quota" of tickets to give out before time expired.

Release Date: 2002-09
Platform:Nintendo Game Cube, PC, PlayStation 2, Xbox

With more than 20 licensed cars and over 60 racing events, racers in Hot Pursuit 2 were given an impressive roster of dream machines to flee from the cops. However, the boys in blue had some new tools of their own, designed to stop unruly drivers.

7. Need For Speed Underground

In 2003, the Need for Speed universe, and racing games everywhere, changed forever with the release of Underground. Moving away from the exotic supercars of the first six titles, it focused heavily on illegal street racing and the import tuner market, which had grown exponentially in popularity with the release of blockbuster films like The Fast and the Furious.

Underground featured something nobody ever thought a Need for Speed game would: a storyline. Also new was the ability for players to completely customize their cars with name-brand upgrades to the exterior or under the hood. Another new feature was that all races took place at night in an anonymous city that looked like a composite of several major American locales. New game modes included Drag, Circuit, and Drifting, a challenge that didn't involve getting the best lap time.

In an effort to discourage illegal street racing, the game began with a disclaimer featuring Need for Speed producer Marc De Vellis warning players to keep their extreme driving within their game consoles.

Release Date: 2003-11
Platform: Game Boy Advance, Nintendo Game Cube, PC, PlayStation 2, Xbox

The first Need for Speed game to have a storyline, Underground was set in a generic city with all of its races taking place at night. Underground was the last track-based Need for Speed game until ProStreet was released in 2007.

8. Need For Speed Underground 2

With the resounding popularity of Underground, Underground 2 came out in 2004 and built on the success of its predecessor. The biggest change for this game was an "explore" mode that allowed players to drive around the city, Bayview, in an effort to find races.

This game saw the elimination of police chases, which had been in every Need for Speed game since the first Hot Pursuit title. Customization was also tuned considerably, opening up even more options for players to create the car they'd always dreamed of. Three SUVs were also added to the game, and could be customized more heavily than the regular vehicles available.

9. Need For Speed Most Wanted

Continuing the story-based, open-world approach of the Underground games, Most Wanted - a launch title for the Xbox 360 - added several interesting new types of gameplay to the Need for Speed universe. Your car now had a "Rap Sheet", keeping track of the coolest, most dangerous moves and memorable police chances that you pulled off while in the driver's seat.Being chased by cops was a little different in Most Wanted, as a "heat" system determined how much force the police used in trying to capture you.

Depending on your heat level, different types of police vehicles were chasing you - ranging from unmarked SUVs to Pontiac GTOs. Roadblocks, spike strips, and police helicopters made evading capture more difficult, not to mention the Corvette-driving cop, Sergeant Cross, who would stop at nothing to take you down. If you got busted too many times, you had to pay to get your car out of the impound lot.

To unlock some of the new cars, parts, and locales in Most Wanted, players had to defeat one of 15 "Blacklist" racers. When you did, you had a chance to get their car. Some of the vehicles driven by Blacklist racers included a Ford Mustang GT, Porsche Cayman S, and Chevrolet Corvette C6.

Raising the bar set by Underground 2, Need for Speed: Most Wanted takes place in another fictional city, this time called Rockport. The expansive map, with three different regions, is designed for a great deal of exploration. Unlike Underground and Underground 2, though, races take place between dawn and dusk and your racer now has several "safe houses" scattered around the map when the heat gets too intense.

10. Need For Speed Carbon

Released in 2006, Need for Speed: Carbon took customization to the next level with the addition of the AutoSculpt feature that allows players to shape and mold exterior modifications on their vehicles to their liking. Tuning also got a boost, giving racers the opportunity to tune a car for things like better acceleration or top speed.

In Carbon, racers now had a wingman, each having specific skills that assist in getting you across the finish line first. Nighttime racing and drifting were both included, returning to the dark backdrop of the city in Underground.

Advancing in career mode required racers to take over territory on the map controlled by different gangs. Opponents had their cars decorated in gang colors for races in territories they owned. Finish in first and their roadways become yours.

A challenging new racing mode called Canyon Events was introduced in Carbon. There were four different categories, with each involving a race down a winding canyon course. Hit the guard rails and they'll break, sending your ride off a cliff and into oblivion.
Canadian actress and model Emmanuelle Vaugier provided the voice of Nikki, an ally who guides racers along the storyline in career mode.

Platform: Game Boy Advance, Mac, Nintendo DS, Nintendo GameCube, PC, PlayStation2, PlayStation3, PSP ,Wii ,Xbox ,Xbox 360 , Zeebo.

Carbon gave a larger role to muscle cars, bringing in several pavement-ripping monsters from the days when cubic inches were cool. This included the 1970 Plymouth Barracuda, 1967 Chevrolet Camaro SS, and 1967 Shelby GT500. Rest assured, sport-compact fans, all your tuner favorites are still there.

Nighttime racing was back in Need for Speed: Carbon after taking the evening off in Most Wanted. Set five years after Underground 2 in the city of Palmont, the area was originally split into four districts for each rival crew.

11. Need For Speed Prostreet

Need for Speed: ProStreet was released in 2007 and was a return to the simulation-style track racing that won fans over thirteen years earlier with The Need for Speed. In ProStreet, you take the wheel as Ryan Cooper - a reformed illegal street racer getting his first taste of legitimate racing. Ryan is the silent type, never taking his helmet off and never saying a word during the game, leaving you to speak for him on the track.

A full damage model, revamped physics, and more than 70 cars available helped make this the most realistic racing game that the Need for Speed series had seen. Tuning and customization played a big part, with Autosculpt taking a larger role in the performance of your vehicles, even helping (or hurting, depending on how you applied it) the aerodynamics of your car.

Tracks were also improved, with 12 in total, including the legendary Autobahn, Willow Springs Raceway and Ebisu Circuit. Some additional custom tracks, like the Nevada Desert added hours to the challenge of completing ProStreet.

12. Need For Speed Undercover

The Need for Speed series got another dose of Hollywood magic with the release of Undercover. Actress Maggie Q plays a federal agent and is your character's only contact to the outside world as you go undercover to foil an international crime syndicate in Tri-City. Singer and actress Christina Milian makes an appearance as Carmen, a friend you encounter throughout your travels.

Undercover returned to the "sandbox" style seen in Underground, Most Wanted, and Carbon, but increased the size of the world map to more than 100 miles of drivable blacktop spread across three connected cities.

New to online mode was a "Cops and Robbers" game, with one team trying to grab cash spawned on the map and the other team driving to stop them. The game also introduced a new "Heroic Driving Engine", a unique technology that generated incredible high-performance moves, including 180-degree turns at high speeds.

Release Date: 2008-11
Platform: iPhone,iPod touch, mobile, Nintendo DS, Nokia N-Gage, PC, PlayStation 2, PlayStation3, PSP, Wii, Xbox 360.

13. Need For Speed Shift

SHIFT was a real return to simulation racing for the Need for Speed series. Going back to a track-based format last seen in ProStreet, it also re-introduced a full damage model to the game, making smart driving an important part of winning races.

New to SHIFT was the Driver Profile, which keeps track of your every race and assigns points for aggressive or precision driving. Both styles are rewarded equally, with players getting points for moves such as trading paint or mastering corners.

The cockpit camera view returned in as well, giving drivers a first-person experience of the Dynamic Crash Effect system which makes players feel disoriented in crashes, with the screen going blurry before composure is regained.

Release Date: 2009-09
Platform: iPad, iPhone, iPod touch, mobile, PC, PlayStation 3, PSP, Xbox 360.

Cars

The cockpit camera view made a return in SHIFT and brought with it beautifully detailed interiors for the game's more than 70 cars, including the 2010 Chevrolet Camaro SS, Bugatti Veyron 16.4, and Pagani Zonda F just to name a few.

14. Need For Speed Nitro

Released in November 2009, Need for Speed NITRO was available only on Nintendo-based rigs - the Wii and DS. An arcade-style racer that takes full advantage of the platform's unique controls to deliver a non-stop-fun experience.

In NITRO, customization is key. You have the ability to not only trick out your ride, but also design your own "tag", and as when you're the leader in a race, that tag is plastered all over town to let everyone know who's the best.

The game's namesake, the nitro boost, is another major factor in your racing career. Drift around corners, pass opponents, and perform other crazy driving maneuvers to gain boost. Then, once you hit a clear stretch of road, floor it.

Release Date: 2009-11
Platform: Nintendo DS, Wii.
