Bruges Festival Of Ice Sculpture


In the Belgian city of Bruges, a festival of ice sculpture named "Ice Age" is traditionally held each year. This fabulous festival lasts for six weeks, and gathers the best craftsmen from China, Canada, Sweden, USA, Holland and Belgium. Each of them received a two-ton block of ice and created its own ice-cold masterpiece. Have a look at this unique sculptures, they look like a scene from a fairytale. Ice sculpture is a form of sculpture that uses ice as the raw material. Sculptures from ice can be abstract or realistic and can be functional or purely decorative. Ice sculptures are generally associated with special or extravagant events because of their limited lifetime.
